The artwork was called Chacán-Pi (Making Love) by Fernando de la Jara, and has been outside Tübingen University’s institute for microbiology and virology since 2001.
It has previously prompted many visitors to look at it, point at it and go “Wow! That’s a vagina. Cool!” but this is the first reported case of anyone actually trying to be inside it.
On Friday afternoon, a young American exchange student had to be rescued by 22 firefighters after he put himself inside the vagina and couldn’t get out of it again.
The firefighters managed to deliver the student to safety by natural means and although the student has remained anonymous, photos confirm that it was a healthy boy.
